A-FACT Podgorica — Competition-winning visualization by Emme Works

Visual Communication Studio

Before we render,
we compose

Emme Works is a visual communication studio in Bologna. We consult on images the way architects consult on buildings, we read the project first, then we make it

We take on one new full-scale project per month

A-FACT, MVRDV, Populous, OneWorks, ADAT Studio, Politecnica

“The images were the best in the competition. Better than Snøhetta, better than Annie Larson.”

Giovanni Sanna, Founder, A-FACT

You might have faced one of these issues

01

“Our images look like everyone else’s.”

You launch a product line, a building, a campaign, and the visuals are interchangeable with your competitor’s. The brief was followed. The project was missed.

02

“The studio executed the brief but missed the project.”

They rendered what you asked. They didn’t ask what the jury, the buyer, or the board needed to feel. No dialogue, no interpretation, just pixels.

03

“We need one visual package, not six vendors.”

Stills from one studio, animation from another, social assets from a third. Three invoices, three timelines, three visual languages that don't belong together.

How We Do It

The Composition Method

Every project starts with reading. Every image ends with intent. Here’s what happens in between.

01

Read the project

Thirty minutes. Your project, your goals, who needs to see the result. We read what the project is trying to say, not just the brief.

02

Compose the proposals

We test 20–30 camera angles internally. You see the strongest three. Every composition is a position: framing, light, time of day, mood. Nothing is default.

03

Refine in dialogue

Drafts are conversations. We stay flexible through the final round. Last-minute pivots, new stakeholder feedback, a change in scope. The process is built for it.

04

Deliver with intent

Art director reviews every image before it leaves the studio. The composition is the deliverable. Images belong to a family, a ten-image set speaks with one voice.

About EMME WORKS

Four engineers, ten people, one method

We started in 2022. Four engineers from the same school in Bologna who love architecture, cinema, manga, and the discipline of making something well. Three years and four competition wins later, we work with architects on presentations that win, developers on launches that sell, and brands on campaigns that hold together across every channel. The method is always the same: read first, compose second.

Next Step

Every project starts with a conversation

Thirty minutes. No slides, no generic deck. We read your project with you, then decide together if we’re the right studio.

  • Your project scope and timeline
  • Who needs to see the final images
  • Which compositions will serve the story
  • What it will actually cost. A straight answer.
  • Honest assessment. Are we the right fit?

No obligation. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you.
